About

My name is Luchezar “ManoWarrior” Petkov (Bulgarian: Лъчезар Петков) or just “Mano”, as most people call me, and I was born in the 3th day of May, 1989. I am from Gorna Oryahovitsa, Bulgaria, but I’m currently living in Aalborg, Denmark, studying Graphics design at NOEA.

I’m very interested in computers. Kinda a geek. In particular – UNIX systems, computer graphics and generally all kinds of computer technologies. I used to use operating systems on my desktop which are not considered… well, desktop systems. My favorite one was (and probably still is, I just don’t use it outside a virtual machine anymore) FreeBSD.

I am quite passionate about Free/Open Source software and I have contributed to a number of such projects, most notably Enlightenment, mainly by doing some graphics, documentation and translations. I have also worked for the commercial Linux distribution gOS as a graphics designer and a project manager.

Now (unfortunately) I have only one computer – a MacBook Pro, where I use all the commercial software I need, but I sometimes use FreeBSD/Enlightenment in a virtual machine.

In my real life, I guess I’m just a regular person with lots of interests in all sorts of stuff – from arts to politics, to history to philosophy to metal music and headbanging to classical music and opera. If you want to get in touch with me – feel free, I’m (well, almost) always happy to meet new people.

That’s it. Thank you for visiting my home on the web.
